Mothers Day gift baskets
Mothers Day gift baskets are simple to make and personalize. Who knows your Mother better than you? You can use your creativity to really make this gift basket the perfect Mothers Day gift by filling it with her favorite things. Think of things like stationary sets, note cards, scented candles, potpourri and individually wrapped candies. You could even line the basket with colored tissue paper and place a curly bow on the basket or handle.
If your Mother is a gardener think about making her a Mothers Day gift basket filled with individual seed packets of her favorite flowers, a set of small hand gardening tools, a pair of cute gardening gloves and a small decorative planter. You could line the basket with dry moss that can be used in with her plants and decorate the basket with a pinwheel that she can use in her garden this spring.

This old rickety chair, (that I happily admit to finding at our local dump), is the most comfortable seat I’ve ever plopped myself down in.
It’s become like an old friend, and I can’t imagine who would have wanted to throw away such an item! Well, you know that old saying..
“One man’s trash is another’s treasure”. Or, maybe even better, “C’est la vie”!

To me, a space to sit and read, usually with a good cuppa java, listening to nature, or just to take in the garden’s view for even just a few precious moments during the day, is worth it’s weight in gold.

Everyone needs a space where they can relax, wind down, and just be.
This space happens to be mine; On the verandah.

Well, I convinced my husband that a trellis was necessary, and was so pleased with what he built me. Not only do trellises, obelisks and other garden structures look good, but they give much needed support for climbers, but actually, they provide extra room for plants in the garden by offering that vertical space!

Rattlesnake pole beans. They are really tasty heirlooms that I can’t wait to pick and eat!
The pods actually have a rattlesnake “esque” pattern on them, so they not only taste good, but they’re pretty to look at on the vine too. It’s an old time favorite as both a snap bean and dry bean used in soups. This heavy producer provides beans withing 73 days.

So, garden structures are ideal when you have little space for growing a garden, or even if you have several hundred acres!
There are many types of vegetable plants that grow very well with the help of a trellis, and many different structures that can be used to grow not only food, but many other climbers and vines that will look beautiful, and have much needed support, in the garden.
